I have to admit to you and hang my head in shame I did not do much last week with ShopHop. There was 2 bolts of fabric I remember logging in but did not take a picture. If there is any left I will take a picture for next week's what's new.
Now I will warn you there are two boxes of notions for me to log in Tuesday night. One I am very excited about and will be getting some of to learn how to make them so I can do a Happy Hour for you all! Think baskets!
Second warning. If you saw anything in last week's what's new (like dragons) you had better get in your car and drive to the Depot on Tuesday and get it! We open at 10am. These dragons are literally FLYING (pun intended) out the door! I am not sure if I can get another order of it in or not! So DON'T WAIT!
Last Friday you may have noticed that we closed early for a staff event. Well, the ladies and I went down to Station Square for the 2nd annual Purse Party for a cure with Wish 99.7. Mom, me, Verna, Nancy, Pat, Jane and her daughter Jen all had a great time!
Our Very own Verna made a purse for the event to be raffled off and mom put a couple snap happy's inside.
Next are two pictures of our purse being raffled off by the ladies of Wish!
And finally, I WON! a purse..........lol I think it will be a knitting bag. Kinda looks like the bag is smiling.............lol
This first is 108" wide fabric. The picture does not do the top and bottom bolts justice! These are really really nice!
Fall colors are here! We made a quick sample and it is hanging up on the wall. Come check it out and make your self a quick cheater hanging!
The next two pictures my employees are fighting over! Come get your dragons! There are four bolts, 1 panel and 1 book. Second picture is an open book panel with a finished sample! You have to come check these fabrics out! Make your own Magic dragon book and quilt!
Some more blenders!
Have you seen the Santa Beard fabric we have had in the store the past two years? This year we have black, brown and grey!
White blenders that have numbers and letters!
Come on in and grab these. One of these are under $10/yard. I'm not telling you which ones though, ok I can't remember (sigh). I swear I try to remember. I need to take better notes when I log in!
and Happy Father's Day to those dad's who are reading over their wives shoulders! :-)
Here is the link for this week @ Quilters Depot The big think going on this week is Shop Hop! We still have passports and bracelets to sell!
We have been getting ready cutting kits and fat quarters for all of you! Even if your not shop hopping feel free to come in!
I can finally post a picture of the quilt that I made for my boss since her birthday was last Friday!
This is the band Celtic Thunder if you don't recognize them.! I figured I could post since 99% of you do not know her! Plus not sure if you can see her face in the pictures...hehehehehehe And I'm sticking to that story because I have to toot my own horn when I finish things! Happy Birthday Mary!
Now on to my knitting. I finally finished a cup cozy that I liked. With this setup every one I make I can do just a little bit different variation and make them all unique.
Next, I am starting on my summer shrug. This is gauge test. Yes, you read that right those of you who know me. I actually tested my gauge and I'm going down a needle size! I didn't say it was as big as it should have been though. I'm lazy, I admit it!
Hope to see lots and lots of you this week since I'm there Wed-Saturday all day and night!
I usually do not post these types of things but I will on this one because it's an awesome deal.
We have someone who is selling their Handiquilter 16. This is the machine that I use to quilt all of your quilts and is the smaller version of what we have in the store. Great Price! If interested contact the lady in the below flyer!
remember if you have your own Handiquilter you don't have to wait for me.....lol
That means pictures of what is new @Quilters Depot!
First do you need to make some crafty things with school colors or Pittsburgh colors. Check out this Red heart School Spirit yarn! Knitters! Pom Pom's! The ideas in my head are wild. These will work even for some of the college colors. I know the green and yellow is my Alma Mater Saint Vincent colors! Look at Pitt's blue and gold. I tried to pick colors for the local schools. Hmm what can we make for Halloween with the orange and black?
Next up is a beautiful bolt of fabric from Camelot Fabrics. Depending on who comments it looks like stained glass. Just wait until you feel it. Very smooth and glossy feeling. (might not be the best description but that is what comes to mind) This is $11/yard. Come on in and get this one!
Now, every fabric you see from this point on today is items we got on sale for you! They are all $7.50/yard from Quilting Treasures/VIP. Hurry in and grab these. They won't last long! On the last group. They are all one line and if you look very close there is metallic on some of them! Very Oriental looking and that's where you will find them!
I will admit I didn't do much this week. I've been working on knitting the same set of Dishcloth/Washclothes. Last week I showed you a half done Dishcloth. I finished that and am on the second washcloth for that giftee........lol I will then make her a cup cozee. I am going to try yet another pattern.
My goal is to finish that early in the week and knit something for myself. I have hot pink cotton just waiting to be made into a shrug. figure i should do it early so i can actually wear it this summer......lol
You will be getting an email blast soon on the School House Arts Center, but since you are my blog readers you get the information first!
