This Week W/Jenn @Quilters Depot!

As we have a rainy Sunday I hope you all had a Great Christmas!

Glad this is just rain.  I hate wearing boots and boots on Monday are horrible!

So I actually too 2.5 days off of all my jobs!  Believe me by the end of the first I think I was getting antsy because I am not used to not doing anything.  I did go shopping.  I finished two paperbacks!  I slept!  That's what I call a vacation!

I also quilted 2 quilts on the long arm.  When I explain to you all about using your bungees to keep your backing straight, you need to listen.  Or I need to listen to myself since I had to rip out about 10 inches of my quilting because the backing scrunched up.

The other thing I did this week on Saturday is I made a Rubber Ducky Wall Hanging!  I want to see if I can find a digitized ducky to quilt it with.  That's the Next step!

This Week w/Jenn @Quilters Depot!

Happy Rainy Sunday.

let's keep this rain in perspective.  It could be snow and we could be in the middle of a blizzard.

I'd much rather have it rain.  Sure we can't really enjoy the 60+ temps but we have them!

I didn't do much this weekend.  The headband I showed you this week is 1/2 done.  If I put it on my head it's to my ears!  Mom will just have to have a belated gift!

I started long arming a large quilt this morning, but even the best of us must rip.  After that I will let it sit there until Christmas Day when I will finish it!

I have lots of things I want to be working on but regular job got in the way a few times and so did doing inventory at the store!

Just wait until tomorrow's What's New!  We have some beautiful new fabrics for you!

If I don't see or talk to you before Wednesday MERRY CHRISTMAS!  Hope your on Santa's Good list!

Happy cold Sunday!

If you missed your emails yesterday we started our Christmas sale.  It's good through December 31 @5pm.

The playpen is at 25% for the sale.  We re-stocked it so you just might find that sale fabric that you have been wanting!

All Christmas is 20% off.

Also, Santa has kindly let Nick stay through Christmas (Thank you Santa!) (ok, I'll tell you the truth.  we are having too much fun with Nick so we begged Santa to let him stay!)

So this week our Knitting Teacher, Kristen started to teach us how to do cables!  This is one technique I have always wanted to learn!  Month 1 is the headband.  January will be a Wine Bottle Cozie and February will be a fingerless mittens!  I am making mom the headband for Christmas (no I am not spoiling a surprise.  She knows she's getting it!)  Check it out below!

Other than writing and printing the newsletter you all got this morning; I think that is all I have done this week craft wise.  I could list what I'm doing at the day job, that is quite busy and I'm getting a lot done but I won't bore you the details.........lol

have a great week!

This Week W/Jenn @Quilters Depot!

Hi all!

Did you all surive the ice on Friday night?

Are you surviving the snow today?  I think I'm going to start to worry when they say only a coating since we are getting more than that and Friday night's snow kind of fizzled out!  If you are out and about today stay safe!

So I quilted two quilts on the long arm at the store this week!  Got half of one done at home.  Wrote the newsletter and now working on the blogs while I watch the Steeler Game!

I have completed a total of I think 8 of these knitted Laura Nelkin necklaces in the past two months!  If you would like to make one we do have the kits in the store and I can help you with it if you run into problems and if Kristen, our knitting teacher isn't in.

Here is a hint for you today.  You might know this or you might not.  I am a faithful Printed Treasure user.  This last batch I am working with; the backing will just not come off.  Take the pictures to your ironing board.  Heat the back and peel.  You might still have to do in pieces but it will come off much easier.  As it cools continue to heat up as it will become difficult to peel at times.  Now see don't say I never give you hints!

Hope you all have a great week!
