Did you make it through the snow yesterday? Is mad at Old Man Winter because he ruined my Luv my Local Quilt Store promotion! (sigh).
Thank you to those who did come out for it. I will say I am tired of these nuisance snows. I think it would just be easier to have one big snow each month in the middle of the month (when I can call off!) then these little ones every single day!
So I promised you I would do at least one thing. I did. I have the first part of my wine cozie going. I'm stuck now and might not be able to do any more until Knit Klub. I guess that just means I get to work on one of the other projects I have going........lol You really cannot see the cable pattern in the picture. I have discovered you need a bright color or light color for this pattern to really look awesome!
I also long armed two small quilts. One for Mom and one for a customer! Mom has another one on the fusion for this week. Just have to decide what pattern I am going to do on it!
Stay warm and safe this week! Don't forget Piecemakers on Tuesday night. It might be cold outside but it's warm inside the Depot! Remember our Winter Clearance Sale is still going on!
a) Remember that tomorrow, Friday January 24th is UFO at 5pm! Come get some work done and it's semi warm in here!

remember what happens on a hop stays on a hop! Jenn
Our second is a Quilt Magic done by our very own sales associate Deb! Now what I want you all to notice and learn from Deb's is that these are not the colors of the original welcome Quilt Magic that we have in our store. Deb used her talents and changed the coloring to match her living room! Remember this is always an option when doing these great and fun kits!
Remember to keep bringing in your completed projects! It's ok to ask us to take a picture if we don't. Sometimes we forget and are just caught up in admiring your projects!
I'm at the store! Well at least until I go to the Chiropractor at 330..............lol
What is new.
a) Remember we are having a Winter Clearance Sale now through February 15th, 2014. Selected fabrics marked with a red star are 40%. Go towards the kitchen when you come in and you will see the table and small red cart!
b)Spring 2014 Retreat. I know my numbers have been bouncing around on emails on how many I have left. I fill up one and one backs out. So as the moment I am writing this we have 3 rooms WE MUST FILL! If February 1st comes and they are not filled I will smack my head and learn from my mistakes. At that time if there are any spots left to hit my total number of people I will release or not release more UFO spots! Stay tuned. My thought though if you are going to lug everything why not stay overnight!
c) We have new fabrics. All of you who love our blenders The Bear Essentials 2. We have re-stocked the ones you all bought up! Come get more!
Let us all bask in the warmth that is 31 degrees predicted high today! Sounds like that's the last of it for a few days.
I will admit when I sat down to write this blog entry I paused for a moment and then said to myself "Oh Crap!" I didn't do anything crafty this week.
I did have cutting table technology issues. That was one night. I had web page issues. That was a second night. Third night was trying to do something crafty. Starting my knitted cabled wine cozie. Started. Ripped. Started again. Ummm ripped again Saturday night. Tonight I am going to do this! Homework was 7" by the upcoming Thursday. I won't even take bets on whether I get there or not!
Today, long armed a small quilt! Vacuumed that room. Now computer work. (sigh). You all thought being a shop owner was a glamorous and fun thing.............lol
I promise some kind of picture of a semi knitted wine cozie for next weekend........lol
First up is mom's Christmas gift. Yes, even me gives gifts late. Actually more often then you would think.......lol. Now I finished this Thursday night. What happens on Friday and Saturday? It gets warm! Your welcome........hahahahahhahaa
The other thing I finished this week is my Duckie Wall Hanging! I haven't decided what to do with it yet. Do you not love the digitized Ducks!
Not sure what I will do this week. Probably work on my sweater that I started back in September. Also the second cable class starts on Thursday where we will be making a wine cozie that is cabled. Maybe I'll start it early.
Are you enjoying the warmth while it lasts? Thinking we all need to make car quilts to keep our babies warm? lol
I really did not do anything this week! At least not crafty things. I did a lot of year end paperwork and filing and such. Plus we instituted new financial reporting software at work so my brain has been very tired at the end of the day to do crafty stuff. I also wrote the new newsletter that you will see on the 15th!
I really need to get Mom's headband done by Thursday night so that at Knit Klub, Kristen can show me how to finish it off. Not sure if I'm going to get it done or not though.
I am also going to be lazy this week. There will only be this blog today. I did not log in any of the new stuff that came in. I did not have anyone bring completed projects in with the holiday so we will suspend those blog posts this week. I will talk to you next week and hope I've gotten something done!
Have a good week and stay safe and warm! If you do not have to go out think of me at 6am when I leave to get to work in the subzero temps! Pray the T doesn't go down! No closures or two hour delays for me! It's a great time to come get some fabric and stay warm at the depot!
