This Week w/Jenn @Quilters Depot!

I'm late today!  I know!  I have a very good excuse though.

I have been making the Christmas Candy.  I am only about 70% done.  Still need to do raisins in light chocolate. Then all the dark chocolate stuff.  Good news there's less dark to make then light.  Maybe two more hours.  I really wish I had finished but I knew I had all of this computer work to do today.

I did clear off the camera finally!

So first up is proof I do hand work and my buddy Nick watching me and not sharing his chocolate treat.  Bad Elf! Blame Deb for the blurry pic...........lol

Next up is my Penguins scarf!  I really am glad I did the blue yarn for the overtimes!  It breaks it up really nicely.  I am caught up!

I have four gifts to make for Christmas.  My goal is to get two done.  The third will be given on knitting needles and then taken back.  The fourth if I do not get to oh well the person will get it next birthday or Christmas.  I am almost done with #1 maybe tonight while I watch TV.

Finally, I participated in the kids class yesterday.  Here are my elf on the shelf Shrinky Dinks!  Deb has promised to make me a window display for them!  A few are going to the bank to decorate my office.  Yes I am an adult.  Check out the blue pickup.  It looks just like my truck.  Like I said Yes I'm an adult.  I'm sticking to that story!  I am bummed I can't get anymore of these...............lol

This Week W/Jenn @Quilters Depot!

Where do the weeks go?

I will admit I did not get done what I wanted to.

I ripped out my cowl like 4 or 5 times.  Do you wanna know why?  First time.  I didn't like my beads.  i had 8 rows done and four beads.  Second time I started to knit with my extra cast on yarn instead of the ball of yarn.  Third Time when I went to join in the round i twisted.  fourth time i didn't like my knitting.  I am now about 18 rows in.  I think i have to do like 100.........lol

Your welcome, now don't you feel better about your knitting or whatever craft you are working on.  We all do the rip!

I did not work on my elf head.  Thinking i might just use the head as the decoration this year.  Thinking people are going to just get half finished gifts that I take back or everyone is going to get chocolate........lol

I wanted to show you a picture of our special guests at our Open House this weekend.  Did you miss it? You missed a grand time with Mickey and Tigger!   Stay tuned we will be having a Black Friday and a Small Business Saturday sale.  Each sale has different items so keep you eyes open for more information!  I do want to thank "J" and "M"  for spending their Saturday with us.  I know you girls had better things to do..........lol  (yes i'm protecting the innocent by not using their names.......lol)

No Hockey, No Nascar, No football today.  I might have to turn my mp3 on!

Don't miss these Classes @Quilters Depot! Day 2

I really wanted to show you the pictures of me and Nick taking the Elf on the Shelf class. Like I told you yesterday I forgot again to empty the camera.   You can still take the class though!  I showed you my elf head in Sunday's blog.  You have one chance left to take this class!  We are out of the little elfs, but we still have the other kits and I think there might be one or two others coming in this week!

Make & Take—Elf on the Shelf Fun: When we asked Nick the Elf if he wanted to visit us this holiday season he had one condition.  You have to make some classes featuring me!......... Since we just can’t get enough of that ‘Elf on the Shelf; we agreed  So, to keep us young at heart and for those of us who will always ‘believe’, we have projects featuring the little guy.  For your choosing, we will have an advent wreath to help count down the days until the ‘Big Guy’ – that elf above all other elves! - shows up.  Great for any age, we all need to be reminded just how many days are left until the 25th.  We offer a selection of ornaments – little elves that can decorate your tree or add a special something wherever you need to add some holiday spirit. Yes, you can even put an elf on a shelf!  And, we have a stocking kit that will carry through with the theme that will hold all those goodies that Santa has for you.  These kits come with felt and embellishments to complete each item.  You may have to bump Nick and Jennfrom this class because they both will be taking it!
When:  LAST CHANCE! 3) Wednesday, November 26th @1 to 4pm.  Cost: $15 +kit of your choice The wreath and advent calendar are still left!) Teacher: Deb Will.

I know Tuesday's are usually about success stories but I'm mixing it up.  That's the story I'm sticking with because I am sure you are tired of me telling you how I forgot to check the camera again.  (ducks her head in shame!).

So instead here is your chance to take an awesome class!  First session is tomorrow afternoon!  Next is Friday night!  I'm going to the hockey game so I need at least a few of you to make sure my employees work while I am enjoying myself!

Here's the class info!

Make & Take - Xmas Ornament Placemats:  Deck the Halls!  Deck the Tree!  Deck your table with ornament placemats and napkin holders!  This class is geared for a beginner but great for any level quilter.  It is easy to cut and piece.  We have an afternoon and evening morning class available.  This is a great Christmas gift or decoration for you own table!
When:  1)Wednesday, November 19th @1 to 4pm, 2) Friday night, November 21st @6 to 9pm. 3) Monday, November 24th @10:30am to 1:30pm.

This Week w/Jenn @Quilters Depot!

I sit here watching Pre-race stuff for Nascar.  Not sure why I am watching since I really don't care who wins.  Ok. Maybe I have those who I don't want to win.........lol

I really do not feel like doing computer work but must!

I finished a small quilt on the long arm today.

I have four projects going.  (sigh)

1) I started a knitted cowl in class Thursday night.  I did not take a picture of it.  Not enough done to even make it worth it. I have not decided if it's going to be a Christmas gift or not.  I guess a lot depends if I get it done........lol

2) My Penguin Scarf!  I am only behind last night's game!  Did you see that finish!  Oh my!

3) I am working on a braided bracelet.  I don't have a picture.  I want to get two of these done for Christmas and of course it's for people who I have to have something done before Christmas.  I think I'm in trouble.......lol

4) Me and Nick (yes Deb I forgot to unload the camera I will post your proof I do hand work and Nick's participation next week!) took Deb's hand class to make an elf on the shelf!  Well after 2.5 hours I have a head done!  I hope to finish him before Thanksgiving to decorate my office at the bank.  And Yes all you doubters.  Jenn can do hand work!  I just never find time.  These little Elf on the Shelf kits are adorable even if really detailed!

I thought I would give you all a special blog today!

We had a wonderful time last weekend when Debby Brown came to teach!  There are some people that the moment you meet them they fit in with your group and you feel like you have known them forever instead of only two days.  That would be Debby!

We would like to thank Debby for the awesome weekend of classes!  We can't wait to have her back next year!

Below are some of the pictures we took!  I had one of Debby and Me but my camera ate it. Sometimes I think the camera's are out to get us.........lol

Check out Debby's Blog.  http://higheredhands.blogspot.com/  Her blog is totally worth following!
