This Week W/Jenn @Quilters Depot!

Who else is ready to hurt the groundhog down?  Capture Elsa and make her stop it!  or just take a club to old man winter.  yes a club.  I am that fed up with winter!

I thank everyone who came out once again on Saturday in the middle of a "snowstorm".  I just want warm weather and no precipation for like a week!

Today I did laundry.  I long armed a small quilt.  I am now going to sit and watch the Daytona 500!  Go Dale Jr and Tony!

So last Sunday I took off.  I don't do that often.  This is the reason.  I wanted to check out what I am scrimping and saving for.  A new truck.  My blue bomber has over 110,000 miles on it and it's getting tired.  This is my dream truck but in blue.

I have been working hard on my Hoop Sisters BOM.  I have 11 of 16 blocks done.  Here is the second group of my blocks. Have to do 12 of these.  Have 7 done.  Stay tuned to Tuesday's Blog for pictures from the other participants of the BOM!

Hope you all stay warm and dry this week!

This Week w/Jenn @Quilters Depot!

Hi all!

Isn't that sun deceiving!?  Yesterday it took me two hours to go my usual 1/2 hour to get home from the store.

Man I hate blizzard conditions and traffic.  Bad combinations!

This morning I screwed up your newsletter emailing.  (sigh).  This is what happens when I try to take a Sunday off.  I was hurrying last night to get the first email out.  Then hurrying this morning before I left home to correct the situation.  At least third time is a charm.

Went to the Auto Show this morning with Dad.  I thought I knew what I wanted when I left home.  Now I need to do more shopping and research............lol

Let's see I have a bunch of pics for you.  I am caught up on my penguin scarf.  After this afternoon's game I will make sure I get my fingers moving to stay caught up.

Here is a picture of my cowl I am knitting.  The one that was suppose to be a Christmas gift!  It's 6 rows from being half way done!

Our knitting class this week was learning Intarsia.  This is my almost completed project.  That is my second goal tonight.  To finish that so I can get back to the cowl.  I'm not sure why the picture isn't very good.  There is a blue X going through the black diamond.  This will be a cup cozee when done.

The other thing I have been working on and promising you pictures of are my Hoop Sisters BOM.

This first one is what the first four blocks of month 1 will look like when sewn together.

This is Two of many that i need to make for the second block of Month 1

This is the first one for block two.

If you are going to retreat this is what I will be working on.  Probably 24 hours a day!  lol

If your out shopping it's a bank holiday tomorrow!  I will be at the store!

This Week w/Jenn @Quilters Depot!

Hi all

What a beautiful weekend!  Hopefully all the ice where you are is melting!  I really hope the dirt parking lot at the store finally totally melts!

Today, I did laundry.  Long armed a Quilt. Did the Schedule. Wrote the newsletter.  Still have to blog, do inventory ordering, do the weekly email, and like 10 other things on my to do list.   :(  I need a clone or a personal assistant!  Neither will be happening.  lol

I worked on my BOM some more but only finished one block.  Finding time to do embroidery is hard.  If I could just set it and go I would be fine.  However, being finicky things if I walk away the machines gets mad at me and that's the end of what I'm doing!

I did work on my Penguins Scarf!  I only have to do last night's loss.  There is too much black in the past few weeks of this scarf!   The colors at the top are the beginning.  The bottom of the picture is the current.

You haven't seen Miss Bernie lately.  She was trying to help me take the picture!

That's about it!  I am not even going to make promises and plans for the week.  I just seem to disappoint myself!

Here's to us all getting stuff done and not freezing in the process!

Look what Jane made on our Quattro 3 @Quilters Depot!

Now you may ask what is Jenn's favorite Brother sewing machine in the store!

There are two.  The Brother 40E.  This is the most awesome little sewing machine for taking to classes and to retreats!

Now when it comes to the Embroidery Machines it's the Quattro 3.  Jenn is sad though because Brother has discontinued the Quattro for a newer/better model.  Why not the Dream Jenn?  First, I had to fight people in the store to use the Dream.  Now I am in love with the Quattro and I have to sell my remaining machines.

This leads me into showing you what Jane, our assistant store manager made on the Quattro!  This is one of the hundreds of free designs that come with the Quattro!  Now the best part I am offering the Quattro's at 40% off msrp!  We have two for you to buy!   Come talk to us if you are interested in buying them.  Jenn will be sad to see them go, but is excited to maybe get her turn on the Dream!

Awesome work Jane!

This Week w/Jenn @Quilters Depot!

Hi all!

Are you keeping warm and safe today?  I hope your all in your sewing rooms creating awesome projects and maybe finishing some Ufo's.

I am not a big game watcher if the Steelers are not in it.  Not even for the commericials anymore.  I will be watching hockey game in a little while.

I am doing my usual Sunday computer work.  My big project for today is to get the retreat invoices emailed to those of you going.

If you are still interested.  We have 8 UFO spots open!  Do not miss out!  I am planning the food!  Yum Yum!

I am a couple games behind on my Penguin scarf.  I have worked on my cowl though!  I am up to 12 of the 50 beads I need to place.  It's actually looking really nice!  I am glad I ripped it all out and started over!

I have also been working on my Hoop Sisters BOM.  I have about 25% of the blocks done!  I already know my retreat project!  Yes, you will see with a sewing machine this time.....lol

Hope you all have a great week and this snow turns to rain where you are and we all have an easy time commuting this week!
