So it's two weeks in a row I have forgotten the camera. Yes, you do not need to say it. I need to figure out a way to remember to do that.......lol
So instead these are the classes you want to take this Saturday! Do not Miss these!
Trapunto Quilt Class: Here’s your chance to try one of the old quilting techniques but made easier with modern day notions. You can use the design shown on the sample or bring your own favorite “closed design” pattern (i.e., a feather wreath quilting pattern, a flower outline, a teddy bear outline for a child’s quilt, etc.). Your class trapunto piece could be incorporated into the center of a larger quilt as the focal point. This class will require advanced sewing and quilting skills plus the ability to heavily quilt background so trapunto areas stand out. For you HAND quilters, this type of quilt was originally done by hand so you are most welcome to come to the class and complete yours by hand. This is a THREE week class! Level 300. When: Saturdays, 4/11, 4/18, & 5/9 @9am to noon. Cost: $35 + supplies. Teacher: Peggy Gibson.
Timbuktu Quilt Class: Here’s a visually appealing quilt that can be made from coordinated fabrics or give it a scrappy look. Peggy chose to use 1930’s fabric for a softer look. It is from a pattern by Quilt Queen Designs and uses the 5” “Zig-Zag” Ruler.
It is a little challenging since blocks are cut on the bias, but is well worth the effort to achieve this striking quilt. The quilt can easily be made larger by adding additional blocks. This is a TWO week class. Level 200: When: Saturdays, 4/11 & 4/18 @noon to 3pm. Cost: $25 + supplies. Teacher: Peggy Gibson.
