Fabric Swap @Quilters Depot!

Second Annual Quilters Depot
Fabric Swap!
When:
Saturday, August 15th 10am to 3pm!.

The Facts:
Do you have fabric in your stash you want to get rid of?  Have it in by Friday, August 14th @noon!

Cotton’s Only! 
NO NOTIONS!

Package it up in zip lock bags and label it with your name and what you want it sold for. 

Bring your labeled bags in to Quilters Depot Starting on July 15th, 2015.

During the swap we will keep track of what you sell. You will get a Quilters Depot Gift card for 55% of the amount you sell.

All remaining fabrics will be donated evenly to Project Linus and the Salvation Army Annual Sale!

All bags must be properly labeled and priced before we will accept them! 

Give us two weeks to get you your gift card calculated after the swap!

If you donated at least $25 retail value to the swap and nothing sells you will get a minimum of $5.00 in a gift card for participating!

This Week w/Jenn @Quilters Depot

Hi all!

So Handi Quilter Event #1 is in the books!  Thanks to everyone who came in for the classes and to Elaine for being so GREAT!

I keep telling you I'm working on my Hoop Sisters BOM!  Here is the proof.  I need to do 1/2 of a block and then I can sew all of these together!  That is the goal for the week!


Other than that it's been paperwork and more paperwork!

Elaine Gilmore shares more than a decade of longarm quilting knowledge with new and seasoned quilters daily, teaching basic to advanced quilting professionally throughout the US and Canada, as well as internationally.  An expert in computerized quilting, Elaine especially enjoys helping HQ Pro-Stitcher® owners advance their skills.  She quilts with an HQ18 Avanté® equipped with HQ Pro-Stitcher and has finished hundreds of quilts. By thinking outside the box, she considers it a good day when mastering a new technique to share.  In addition to her quilting experience, Elaine is a former Handi Quilter retailer and technician. She sold Handi Quilter machines and products in her own machine quilting shop, installing and training the new owners personally. Elaine has also published two books specific to custom quilting. This week w/Jenn @Quilters Depot!

Hi all!

I do not have a lot to tell you.  I was busy all week with our Brother/Hoop Sisters event.

Thank you to all of you who came and to Jude,our educator!

Now this week I will be getting ready for Elaine Gilmore's Handi Quilter classes coming up on Friday and Saturday!

If you have not registered for these you are going to miss out on a great set of classes!  You have until Thursday night to register!

I did finish month three of my Hoopsisters BOM.  I found out though I have to do four blocks in Month 4 before I can sew Month 3 to the quilt.  I hope to do a couple of those blocks this week!

Next up is BethR's!  Beth is hugging our Brother 3129 machine.  Beth is a die hard hand piecer.  For this class though she decided to try out one of our machines and she did awesome for the first time sewing mechanically!  Awesome work Beth!

This Week w/Jenn @Quilters Depot!

Hi all!

So I promised you a picture of my cowl that I had finished!  Here it is!  I am not sure whose Christmas Gift this will be.....lol  Probably one of my cousins.  This was a Laura Nelkin Design and I think we may have a few of the kits left if anyone is interested!


My newest project is I am knitting a Hello Kitty.  at this point I'm on the head and you can't tell what it is........lol  It's being made for a specific person!  I have a couple of months to get it done!

My week has been mostly packing kits and supplies for our Brother Hoop Sisters Event.  Stay tuned by 6pm tonight, you will have a breaking news email on something special happening on Thursday with Brother!

Newly Scheduled UFO!

Yes the calendar says it's a 201.  However, Debbie has to go to a wedding rehearsal!  She's singing!  So instead of just closing. (I mean where else would I want to spend my Friday night).  We are going to have a UFO!  Starts @5pm!

Come bring your unfinished objects and let's get some work done.  The A/C is working.  The fridge is full of water and I'll order you pizza!  Now that's a relaxful night away from the family!

1) 9am to 12:30pm
2) 1 to 4:30pm
3) 5 to 8:30 pm



Cost: $70 which includes:
*Use of a Brother Embroidery Machine  We will be getting 5100's, 6200d's, and 3500d's in for you to use.  If you have a top of a line machine come check out the 3500 that is perfect for going to classes!  Want to try a top of a line the 5100's and 6200's are only one step away from a DREAM!  
*Kit to make one Hoop Sisters Wedding Ring Placemat (Fabric and Battilizer. Binding is included)
*Hoop sister CD—this CD includes all formats for all machines to make the blocks for a Wedding Ring Quilt, placemats, table runner or project of your choice.
Seating is limited in each session to 8 people so that you all get your own machine.  This is never done!  I had to get special permission and Brother was not happy!  Come make our event a success and prove me right!  Register NOW!  I need to cut your kits!

What's New @Quilters Depot!

Yes I logged stuff in on Saturday.  Yes, even though the store was closed mom and I had to go in so I could pay the bills and do inventory.  Kinda nice though to work when there is no noise what so ever!

 This is a bolt of Moda's French General Favorites.  There should be two more bolts coming in.  Not sure when.
 Some RJR Fats.  Red work meets blue work.

We are now an OESD stabilizer dealer!  Come check out what we have.  Need something special let us know and we will order in!


 Wendy Cotton/Silk Yarn!  You have to feel this stuff!  I'm thinking a pink variegated sweater!

This Week w/Jenn @Quilters Depot!

Hi all

I finished my cowl!  I forgot to take the picture though.  Actually I swear I did.  However, you all know me by now that might just have been a figment of my imagination telling me I had done something.  I will take one tomorrow and post next Sunday.  It's pinned to the ironing bored being blocked!

I finished yet another store quilt on the Avante this week.  My time on the machine is done for now.  I think I did pretty good though.  That was like 4 or 5 quilts done!  That's what Handi Quilters are about Finishing Quilts!

I did not finish BOM month three either.  Too much other stuff going on.  Maybe this week!  Cross your fingers!
