This Week w/Jenn @Quilters Depot

Hi all!

Where did the week go?

What did I do?  I really am not sure on this one.  I have been knitting my Steelers Cowl but I'm not very far.  I am still on Game 1.  oops..........lol

I have been working on my Hoop Sisters BOM.  I am considering doing another one in 2016 but have not decided.

If you want to do the Sewn Seeds and were not able to do an evening a Saturday class is about to start.  I will do a blog on that this week so stay tuned!

So my Sunday so far.  Long arm a quilt.  did two loads of laundry.  should have been three but i held off on my gym clothes.  Don't open my closet!  Working on rebuilding my personal laptop.  I still have files to move but it is in process.  Changed the sheets on my bed.  Started the fall rotation of clothes up and down from the attic.  The schedule is done.  That is all before 1230pm!  I need a nap!

Still do do.
finish my laptop.
write the blogs.
write emails for the week.
start the november class calendar.
Watch Nascar (at least this is the one thing I can do while other things are being done!)

i think that's all which means no nap!

Hope you are all having a relaxful Sunday.

This Week w/Jenn @Quilters Depot!

Hi all!

Feel the chill in the air.  It means you all should be making quilts and working on your Christmas gifts!

This week I have been playing on the Persona Single Needle Machine!  I did two bears.  Why two?  Because even though i pretend to be a professional I sometimes screw up!  I kinda gave Mr Bear a tummy tuck and couldn't get his stuffing back in quite right.........lol

Number two came out better and now a viable gift to the baby it's going to.......lol  So I have concluded I need to you tube hooping a bear and see what hints it will give me.

After that it will be time to hoop hats!

I worked on a few blocks of my BOM.  I am now in month 5!  I think this is an accomplishment even though I will be giving out month 9 on Monday night..........lol  I also started my Steeler KAL Cowl.  i have 1 quarter knitted.  Hoping for a low scoring game to get caught up.........lol

Other than that nothing is new.  Here are a few pics and a video of Mr Bear's operation.........lol  If you are on my facebook page then you have already seen these!   Come in and check the machine out!  We can get yours ordered today!

Peggy G's September Quilt Classes @Quilters Depot

Peggy's September/October classes

Landscape  Quilt:  We’ve had several requests for a landscape quilt….Well here it is.  Peggy is using the “Art-Scapes Elements” pattern by Donna Cherry.  The pattern gives you the choice of 2 different tops (sky/mountain) and 2 different bottoms (water/land/trees).  You can choose whatever top and bottom you want for your mini-wallhanging.  One thing you learn with a landscape quilt is how to look at fabrics in a different way.  This landscape pattern uses paper-backed fusible web to adhere to a foundation.  When all is assembled, then you quilt it.  This is a THREE week class!  Level: 200  When: Saturdays 9/19, 10/3 and 10/17 @9am to noon. Cost: $35 + supplies.  Teacher: Peggy Gibson.

Modern Attic Window:  Using the “Window on the East” pattern by Quilt Woman, you now have the chance to showcase that special scenic, oriental, fall leaf, etc. fabric that you purchased and didn’t know how to incorporate it into a special quilt.  We have several fabrics by-the-yard and panels in the shop that could be used.  The pattern contains 2 different sizes and the small size works well with the 24” panels.
What makes this quilt special is the depth you get from the mitered corners and if you notice not all the miters are at a 45 degree angle.  That’s the special technique used in this quilt.
This is a THREE week class!  Level: 200.  When:  Saturdays,   9/19, 10/3,  & 10/17 @Noon to 3:00 pm.  Cost: $35 + supplies.  Teacher: Peggy Gibson.

This Week w/Jenn @Quilters Depot!

Happy Sunday all!

So last week were in the 90's now brrrrrrrrrrrrrr. They say it won't last but then again it's just a taste of what's to come.

It actually makes it easier to sit down and do work when it's dreary!

What I did this week.  I finished a set of  embroidered hankies for a friend who is getting married next year.  I did not want to wait to do them so they are done and off the list!

I worked on a few of my BOM blocks.  3 color changes away from finishing month 4!  So i'm only half way behind.......lol

We also welcomed Debby Brown from Handi Quilter back home to Pittsburgh for a 2 day educator event.  If you missed these classes you should be ashamed of yourself!  These were awesome classes. Some of the evidence is still on the machines since I did not find time to clean up Saturday afternoon.........lol  As always it'f fun to have Debby in our store!

I think this week I'll be playing on the Persona!  I need to oil and put a chubby bear on it!

I promise if I do that I will take pics!

This Week w/Jenn @Quilters Depot

Happy Sunday all!

Hope you are enjoying your long holiday weekend!

My big news of the week is my new favorite machine has come in!  The Persona aka PRS100 is in!  Now I have to find time to play with it!  I also need to get some caps in so we can all play!  I do have some Cubby Animals.  I'm thinking a penguin with a 58 on it for the beginning of the hockey season!  Check out the information out on this machine here

I'm thinking I did something this week but probably not worthy of putting in the blog.  Unless you want to hear about the darning needle I impaled my knee on, but ouch I've shown enough of you so I won't put the ugliness into the blog!

Have a GREAT week!
