Success Stories @Quilters Depot

I know I have a lot of excuses about pictures. This weeks is as I went to take a picture the batteries died and I have no idea whether there were pictures to take off the camera.

I did get one on my phone though so you are not totally without pictures.

Great work MarilynS!

If you missed this class you should be ashamed!  It is so easy and you can make the wreaths for any and all holidays or any reason!  I love the Star Wars theme!

What's New @Quilters Depot!

I think I posted this first one last week, but it's worthy of posting again!

May the force be with you and your sewing.........lol

We have an owl panel and corresponding fabrics from Quilting Treasures for you!

this next set is what i'm so excited about!  This is the "For Love of Country" Fabric by Dan Morris/Quilting Treasures.  We got the WHOLE line in!  That's 13 different bolts for your pleasure.  We will have two fat quarter bundles cut and ready for sale by Tuesday.  You can also request a kit for the free pattern quilt that Quilting Treasures has on their website by the same name.  This is only as quantity lasts!  It was a big seller this weekend as soon as I got it logged in.  I am thinking a yard of at least six of them for myself.  Can NEVER have too many patriotics in your stash!

This Week w/Jenn @Quilters Depot!

So is this what you feel like after the first round of holidays?

Sorry it's a blurry pic.  i was across the room and my zoom didn't work real well.  If i had moved in closer Bernie would have woken up and there would have been no pic!  And yes that is one of the gift that were brought for her and her sister Abbie on Christmas.

I think that might be me in about an hour.  One thing about the holidays you share everything with your family, friends and employees including the germs.  I think I need a nap!

I am almost done with month 7 of my Hoop Sisters BOM!  I hope by New Year's Eve to have that month done but I'm not promising.  I have been working on my Steeler Cowl.  I also have been making my W.I.P Challenge List!  Have you?  If you do not know what I'm talking about go back to your newsletter!  Or there will probably be another email this week if I don't fall asleep this afternoon before getting my work done!

It's back to work tomorrow.  I really think that December 24th through January 2nd should be national holidays!

Have a great week!

This Week w/Jenn @Quilters Depot!

Hi all!

I think I have all my Christmas gifts that I'm going to make for the year done!

I did do a knitted gift card holder and might make a few more of those for lucky souls who buy gift cards at the store, but other than that I'm done.

I am working on my steeler Cowl and that will be a Christmas gift for next year.  I have one skein of the purple/blue mix left so I will make it into another cowl and it will be put in the next year Christmas pile.  Nothing like getting a head start on next year gifts!

I am waiting on Abbie to come out from behind the couch so I can give her a shearing.  I swear she's worse than a sheep!  Need to learn how to turn it into yarn!

Other than that I'm almost done with my computer work for the weekend and am considering a nap!

Here's to a good week and that WTAE is wrong and KDKA and WPXI are right on the weather! How can they be such different forecasts!

This Week w/Jenn @Quilters Depot!

Hi all!

Yes this is posted later than usual.  Been writing the newsletter for the month.  It's ten pages long!  So i hope when you get it on the 15th that you grab and pour over it and mark your calendars

I don't have any pictures for you this week.

I finished the cowl.  I made 3 baseball caps for a Christmas gift and have 1 more to do.  I had a picture but I really need to find time to go get a new phone because the phone is lagging so bad I get frustrated and want to pitch it out the window.  lol  So therefore I'm not even going to try and download the picture.

My goal is to finish the 4th baseball cap, maybe start a new cowl just like the last one and get some more of my BOM done.

boring life i know!

hope you all have a GREAT Week.  I am taking this week off from blogging so this is the only one you will get.  Sorry it wasn't more exciting!

December Peggy G Classes Start Saturday @Quilters Depot!

Seminole Piecing:  This is a traditional piecing technique derived from the designs created on the clothing of the Seminole Indian women.  It is beautiful and intricate.  Three different designs will be made in class.  The use of the piecing units will be up to you.  Peggy placed hers on hand towels for a nice gift for the Holidays.
Level 100:  When:  Saturday 12/5 & 12/12 @9:00 am  to  Noon.  Cost: $25 + supplies.  Teacher:  Peggy Gibson.

“Mondo Bag” Purse :  This is the latest and greatest in purses/totes out there.   It can be made using      2 ½” strips or 5” squares.  Great use of pre-cuts….“jelly rolls” or “charm” packs.  There are samples in the store for both options (Note:  The 5” square block option is larger that the 2 ½” block option because there are less seams but Peggy’s sample was made smaller than the pattern so plan on yours being slightly larger).  All the work is laid out on a pre-printed, fusible interfacing to make it easier for you.  There are also options that you can incorporate to make to your own (i.e., grommets and cording for the handles, key rings, pockets, etc.)  One idea on the pattern suggests fabric photos for some of your 5” squares --- your own “brag bag”!  This is one bag you will want to make several for yourself and as gifts for friends.  Level 200.  When: Saturday 12/5 & 12/12 @Noon to 3:00 pm.  Cost: $30 + supplies.  Teacher: Peggy Gibson.

Level: 100.

 When: 1)Wednesday 12/2 @10:30am to 1:30pm, 2) Friday, 12/4 @5:30 to 8:30pm.  3)Monday, 12/7 @1 to 4pm. Cost: $15 + supplies.  Teacher: Pauline Shushnar
