This Week w/Jenn @Quilters Depot!

Hi all!

As I sit and look out the window I see that dirty thing called snow. At least it's not sticking.  One more cold day and we'll be back to spring!

I had high hopes of having almost all my Sewn Seeds BOM sewn together.  Well, that didn't happen.  When I started to put it together so that you could all see how awesome this was and want to do it.  I didn't read the instructions thoroughly. I will admit it.  There is also the fact that I hate instructions and following them............lol  So I got to a point where I should have started to add the borders and it won't work.

After many discussions the vote was that I should rip all of the piecing out. So I spent 2 days doing that.  It's heart breaking!  You all know that feeling as a Quilter.  However, you also know sometimes it has to be done.  I will take a picture of the pile of lonely blocks and show you the before and after in a few weeks when I actually get the stuff together.

I have been still knitting away on the bag edging.  maybe one or two more nights and i can start to sew it together.

I need to start deciding what I'm going to take on retreat.

Stay warm!

Debby Brown Returns to Quilters Depot! May 6th and 7th, 2016

Do you know we are Handi Quilter Dealers and LOVERS!  Well we are.  All quilts that i do for my customers or quilt for the store are done on either an Avante or a 10+ year old Sixteen.

One of the perks of being a Handi Quilter Dealer is that we get to bring in their educators since I am self taught.  (here's a secret........I don't follow rules so I can teach you the basics but I do things my way).

An even bigger perk is that one of the Handi Quilter educators is a HOMETOWN girl!  So come spend your Mother's Day weekend with us and Debby Brown.  Everything you will learn in these two days can be even be used on your domestic machines.  There is NO reason not to attend!

This Week w/Jenn @Quilters Depot!

Hi all!

I actually completed a project and got it off my W.I.P list!  This was one of the samples made for one of my patterns when we were doing our QAL's at the store.  It took me awhile to get it quilted.  I made the picture really big so you could see the quilting.  It's a Pro-Stitcher design called broken glass.  Sorry I forget which designer it is, but I love it on this batik!   I have plans for the quilt.  I think it's going to be a "sweet" sixteen present for a family member.

I also finished the embroidery on my Sewn Seeds BOM!  Now I have to sew them together!

I also long armed a quilt for the store.  It was a Christmas Quilt and I did snowflakes all over it!

So for a change I actually got a lot done this week!

What have you been doing?

This Week w/Jenn @Quilters Depot!

Hi all!

I am a little late this Sunday getting my blog written.  Have been doing the newsletter and some months it takes me longer than others.  I even got an early start on it!

I did not get my last blocks done, but I quilted  quilt.  This one is on my WIP list but I still have to do the binding.  I have to decide if i'm doing it by machine or by hand.  not sure what i'm doing with this.  I'm thinking it might be a bday present for a cousin turning sixteen.  who knows.  I did ProStitcher work on it.  This design is called Broken Glass and is awesome!  You really cannot see how awesome it is by the picture........lol

According to the weather stations the groundhog was right and spring is arriving early!  I can't wait for the 60s!

Have a great week.
