This Week w/Jenn @Quilters Depot!

Brrrrrrrrrr what a chilly morning.

Sitting here under a fleece blankie doing my work.  Eventually that snow on my car will melt, but it's a stay in day anyhow.  It's the super bowl Sunday for Nascar Fans.  Nascar Fans understand that statement.  The rest of you probably not...........lol

So what do you do when you are the only male at this month's 3 ladies stitchn and bitchn Girls Night Sewing?  You hide and act cute.  This is Mr Onyx my apartment cat.  He's so tired from guarding Beth last night that he's sleeping deeply on the back of the couch as i write this.

The big news of the week is I finished the piecing on my Elegant Elements BOM!  I now need to pick out my backing since I didn't do it the way I was suppose to and get it quilted.  There are 2 Amish mistakes but overall it turned out pretty well.

Stay warm!

This Week w/Jenn @Quilters Depot!

Hi all

Spring is here!  At least for the week!

I didn't knit this week.  Mr Onyx the cat thinks that if I am home after dark and not at work that means he gets to sit on my arm and lets me do nothing.  I have learned to grab my phone and remote before he does this.  Yes, I could move him, but I feel guilty i leave him alone so much.  Yes, I am aware he's a cat..................lol

I did get two rows sewn on the Elegant Elements.  My goal is to get it done by Saturday.  This weekend is a Stitch N Bitch weekend with two friends/employees. I hope that I can knit all weekend!

That's about it.

Support your Local Police @Quilters Depot!

This is the week!  Our charity project starts this Thursday!

Have you registered yet to help Verna with her Charity project?  Register now!

Machine Embroidery—Police Key Fobs (Charity Event).  We are doing something different for Machine Embroidery Club this month.  We will be making Police Key Fobs and donating them to the Castle Shannon Police Department.  If you donate the fobs you make, the club is free.  If you decide to keep your key fobs the class will be the usual $15.  We would like to have enough to support more than just one of our local police departments.  Did you know if you are going north bound in front of our store you will be assisted by the Bethel Park Police.  If you are traveling south bound in front of the store it's the Castle Shannon Police or vice versa.  I always get confused.  The fact is we are protected and served by two police departments.  Let us show them our thanks and support!  Come help us make FOBS!
When: Session 1: Thursday, February 16th @1 to 4pm.  Session 2:  Thursday, February 23rd 6 to 9pm.
Hosted by: Verna Spargo.  Cost: Free or $15.

This Week w/Jenn @Quilters Depot!

Hi all!

I love the warm weather but it seems like it will be an up and down week again.

I quilted two quilts this week for customers at the store to free up my Sundays some.  I am working on a quilt that mom pieced and will be mine so i'm doing free hand quilting on it. I usually do not do free style but since it's mine i figurd i'd go for it.  That means it's going to be a three week project and i've done 6 bobbins already!  Hopefully only two more bobbins and I will be done.

I also felted my slippers this week.  Not happy with the outcome of the felting, am not sure if it's because of the yarn or something i did.

I also started a knitted t-towel top.  Hopefully I will finish that tonight.  Mom wants me to do a second matching towel and then i need to start on a pair of slippers for a friend.

Have a good week.  Stay warm and dry or cool depending on the day!
