Handi Quilter Educator Bio!

National Educator

Susan Jungerheld has been a professional machine quilter since purchasing her first
longarm machine, an HQ Sixteen®, in 2008. When Handi Quilter introduced the
HQ Fusion®, Susan knew it was the machine for her. Since then, she has added the
Pro-Stitcher® and purchased an HQ Sweet Sixteen®. She loves free motion and ruler
assisted quilting on both stand up and sit down machines, and enjoys combining
freehand and computerized quilting.
Susan has been sewing her whole life and began teaching sewing, piecing and
quilting in local quilt shops. She is thrilled to share her knowledge and experience
with quilters everywhere as a Handi Quilter Educator. Since 2013, she has taught
in many Handi Quilter retail shops in the United States, Germany, South Africa, and
Dubai, UAE. Susan has also been a classroom educator with the Original Sewing &
Quilt Expo.
An award winning quilter, Susan has experience quilting for local quilt shops,
customers, and charities. Her quilting has been featured in McCall’s Heritage Quilts
Made Modern and Quilt Trends magazines.
Before working professionally in the quilting industry, Susan received her bachelor’s
degree in psychology and worked in counseling, education and customer service.
Originally from Pennsylvania, she has lived in several other states, Germany,
and Ireland. She and her husband reside in New York state and have young
adult children.
